To get the best diving in Fiji without the hassle of taking a small plane to one of the outer islands is a godsend. Bligh Straits is a 2 hour ride from Nadi Airport on the main island of Viti Levu. Sweet! Scuba World Sacramento booked 22 of us into this resort last October. Taking a chance on an unknown resort was one of the best decisions we've made in the 15 years we've been organizing and escorting dive groups to dive destinations would wide. We are not new comers to Fiji. We've been visiting Fiji every couple of years since our first trip in 1999 with new groups of divers each visit. We've dived Taveuni, Kadavu, Beqa Lagoon and Blight Waters. We stayed at this new resort last October and the diving is as great or better than the Somosomo Straits off Taveuni. The resort staff and the dive crew were incredible. We descended upon Volivoli Beach Resort with 22 divers, their first dive group to stay and dive at Volivoli Beach. When I say "Get there before the rest." that is just what I mean. A new destination is always a great hook to get your dive group interested in doing a group trip. To be able to stay and dive at a place that isn't plastered all over Sport Diver Magazine is a rare treat. Get there before the rest!
Below is a sample of a dive package at VBR for a week, listing the retail prices. The flyer you can print out has the same information. This group package price for groups of 10 or more is based on the existing Studio Vale Accommodations. The hotel units now under construction, when ready for occupancy will replace the Studio Vale as the accommodation included in the package price. The Studio Units will be the upgrade accommodation offered subject to availability. All prices will increase for travel in March 2011 and forward. The Vale Balavue (hotel block) units are expected to be ready for occupancy end of February 2011.
