*Trip personally lead by Andy & Lynn who have organized and taken many dive groups to dive all over the
world since 1996. In 2008, Andy and Lynn did a live-aboard dive safari on the Red Sea and visited the
antiquities in Cairo and Luxor to familiarize themselves with the culture and the area in preparing to offer this
trip to you.
*Post-Trip Party where you can share your trip experience with your fellow travelers and exchange
photos. You'll have made new dive buddies to enjoy diving with for years to come.

Trip Cancellation Policy:
In the event that you need to cancel a trip that you have booked, we will do our best to fill your spot. Scuba World Sacramento will, however, collect a $200 cancellation fee per person even if we are able to fill your vacated spot. All refunded monies will be credited to your in-store account. If we are unable to fill your spot on the trip, all money paid toward the trip will be forfeited.
Expected out-of-pocket expenses:
1. Cost to book your own round trip flight from your departure city to JFK, New York. (Use MILES if you have them!)
Be sure to allow at least 3 hours layover time between our JFK/Cairo round trip flights and your connecting flight.
Our international flight on EGYPTAIR departs from JFK to Cairo Tuesday, September 21 at 6:30PM, returns from
Cairo Wednesday, October 6 at 3:15PM.
2. Meals on travel days plus a few lunches and dinners when staying in hotels on land in Luxor and in Cairo.
3. At the Cairo Museum, you can enter the Mummy Room for a nominal fee.
4. At the Giza Pyramids, to ride a camel, crawl into a pyramid or visit the Egyptian Boat Museum it will cost you a few
Egyptian Pounds (1USD = 5 Egyptian Pounds).
5. Want to use the toilet plus get toilet paper? Every public bathroom has an attendant who will demand 1 Egyptian pound
(approx 20 cents) upon entering the rest room. "Baksheesh" or tipping in Egypt is a cultural necessity. Our guide will take
care of most of this ahead of time so we aren't bothered; but, just in case our guide isn't with you at a particular moment,
handing out a 1 Egyptian Pound note may be appropriate. It is a good idea to carry a few Egyptian pounds in your
pocket during our day trips. Remember, 1 Egyptian Pound = 20 cents, US.
6. Dive Crew gratuity
7. Land guide/interpreter/protector and interference runner gratuity at the end of our stay if he does a good job.
SWS strongly recommends you also purchase additional trip cancellation/interruption coverage to help defray costs arising from unforeseen events. No one plans an emergency. But you can prepare for one. Carefully read any insurance policy before purchase to make sure it covers your specific needs. If you must cancel, all deposit money is non-refundable unless we are able to fill your vacated space. If we are able to fill your vacated spot, SWS will refund your deposit minus $200 cancellation fee. Divers Alert Network also sells additional trip cancellation and interruption insurance coverage which is an expanded version of the basic DAN diver accident coverage. SWS highly recommends purchase of this trip specific additional coverage. In the event you have to cancel, the additional trip cancellation/interruption insurance coverage could help you receive reimbursement for non-refundable deposits and costs should you have to cancel or interrupt your trip to come home for reasons not covered under the Diver Accident Insurance Coverage.
